KITCHEN INTERIOR DESIGN

One of the major items on the client's wish list was to have a much more functional kitchen, more open to the outdoors and to have it all in a subtle modern coastal style. Although kitchen footprint didn't change dramatically we were able to change the layout to accomodate tons of storage and benchtop space, pantry and kitchen island. We've changed the window to up as a window bar, connecting kitchen to the alfresco area. There's a clean-up zone which you see at the window with the beautiful sight line to the property, dishwasher on the left hand side and, garbage and recycling on the right. Main cooking area with a cooktop and two stoves centred on the wall with plenty of benchtop space on both sides. Marble backsplash all the way to the ceiling showcases a beautiful play of natural stone veining immediately elevates the kitchen to the next level, creating that focal point on the main wall. On the left we've got full hight kitchen cabinetry in a warm timber veneer that extends to the ceiling by elevated air conditioning grille. In the corner there's an appliance garage where you can conveniently pull out cumbersome kitchen gadgets. Then following double door fridge there's a pantry cabinet with a breakfast station and a coffee maker hidden behind the doors to easily cover any mess and clutter. Massive kitchen island in the middle that performs as a breakfast bar and a serving station when entertaining. The concave panelling used on the facades of the island and upper cabinets adds some softness and elegance  to the joinery. The kitchen draws warmth from walnut veneer and timber flooring in the otherwise light and bright colour palette with touches of brushed brass creates that modern coastal charm.

During an apartment or a house renovation there are areas like kitchen or bathroom that would really benefit from a professional eye so if you're not ready for the full house interior design definitely think about those most important rooms.
